Returns and Refunds Policy
Please read the product information page carefully before purchasing a product.
If you were sent something other than what you ordered, you may return unopen and unused via mail at Dark Elegance Cosmetics' expense. Once I have received the incorrect item, the correct item will be sent. If you have received an item with a serious defect or damage rendering it unusable, please send pictures of the item and if appropriate, a refund will be issued. I do not accept returns or offer refunds if you change your mind about purchasing an item.
Typically, there are no returns/refunds allowed if a foundation you purchased does not match your skin tone - please do your research/due diligence on the foundation shade you are interested in before buying or take advantage of my colour match program by contacting me first. This policy is likely to become more flexible in the future as this business grows.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for me to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes me to process your return once I receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process my refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return, include pictures if appropriate. I will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Shipping
Currently, I only ship to addresses within Australia and New Zealand. If you live in Victoria, you also have the option of picking up your package by appointment (free of charge). The pickup location is in Mitcham. Please note that for this option to become visible on the checkout page, you must first enter your address. Once your address is entered, you can then select whether you want your item shipped or whether you want to pick it up.
The store now provides real time shipping quotes from Australia Post, so the shipping cost that will be worked out for you at checkout will be based on the dimensions and weights of the item(s) in your order. You have the option of Parcel Post, Express Post, and Large Letter. Please note that there is NO TRACKING provided if you choose to ship your items using a large letter. Additionally, large letters are only available if your item is small enough to fit within certain size/weight parameters. Shipping is free for orders that total $60 or more.
If you live in Victoria, a Paracel Post takes about 2-5 business days for delivery. If you live outside of Victoria, it will take about 3-9 days for your parcel to be delivered, depending on the state in which you reside. Express Post takes about 2-3 days to deliver. Please note that these are only estimates and Dark Elegance Cosmetics cannot control the length of time it takes Australia Post to deliver your item.
Please pay close attention to the length of time it takes before a particular product is shipped out as there are some items which are sourced directly from suppliers. These items can take up to 14 days before they are dispatched, and this is clearly displayed on the product's page. You will get shipping confirmation only once all the items in your order are dispatched. We only ship complete orders, so everything on your order must be ready to go before we dispatch your order - we do NOT split shipments. Therefore, the ETA for your order is the ETA for the item in the order that has the longest lead time.
